Early Career Researcher Awards Discourse Website
Dr. Palaniyappan holds the Monique H. Bourgeois Chair, supported by the François Bourgeois Foundation in Montreal, Canada. Through this support, ten early-career researchers have been enabled in recent years to attend and present their work at the DISCOURSE Consortium meeting as recipients of the DISCOURSE Early Career Researcher awards. The outline below lists the specific awards.
Bourgeois Chair DISCOURSE Prize. This is awarded in reference to the relevance of the recipient’s work to the area of developmental disorders.
Bourgeois Chair DISCOURSE Rising Star Award. This is awarded in reference to the relevance of the recipient’s work and continued contribution, and its potential to the study of language in psychiatric disorders.
Bourgeois Chair DISCOURSE Open Science Award. This is awarded in reference to the potential of the recipient’s contribution to be applied to the open-source datasets that are being made available through the consortium.
